I have also been listening to alot of Bob Marley, probably because I am totally jones-ing for a visit to my yoga place and haven't quite made it there yet, probably Friday.
The ever so talented, lovely and inspiring Kate sent me a mixed CD to inspire me while I run. Unfortunately, the CD has taken up residence in my car because I cannot stop listening to it and have cranked up every tune over and over again. The mix is as eclectic and diverse as my personal tastes, I think her taste in music is AWESOME. Fave song on the whole CD is Outkast singing "The Way You Move".
What is your all time favorite song?

Ooh, ooh, mix CDs! I love getting those from people! It's so fun to see what other people like listening to and it's such a good way to get exposed to new stuff.
I can't pick an all-time favorite song. I change songs all the time based on my mood and what's going on in my life. Bt I will definitely be checking back to see how others answer this question.
AND...your girls' weekend looks like it was awesome!
I'm so glad you like it! I admit that I was hesitant to include some songs because (other than a healthy appreciation for 80s music which every 30-something has) I don't really know your taste in music so well. And on occasion, I have a tendency to lean more heavily to the hardcore hip-hop/rap side of things.
Anyhow, I don't think I could name one all-time favorite song, but as of the last few days, I've been leaning much more toward country/folk than any other genre. I'm suddenly finding my song collection lacking in the Willie Nelson/ John Denver/Waylon Jennings types. I have a recording of Willie Nelson singing The Rainbow Connection from the Muppet Movie, and I just love it. I love the song, I love the singer, I love the movie that it comes from-- I just love it.
Maybe we should start an iPod exchange. I have an extra iPod Shuffle that could be passed from person to person, each adding their favorite songs, etc. Hmm. I need to think about that a little more...
I can't name just one song. Can't do it.
Now I feel like I need to go sit in a corner.
There are three songs that come to mind right off the bat. Most obvious is "Apron Strings" by Everything But The Girl. (duh ...)
Second is "Pictures of You" by The Cure. Reminds me so much of HS and College.
And third is either "Disappear" or "Not Enough Time" by INXS. The first reminds me of college parties with free-flowing booze (ah ... the memories! :-P). And the second just reminds me of Hubby.
That said ... go watch "N.ck & N.rah's Infinite Pl.ylist." Just saw it and LOVED it!
