Still.... no news

I waited until 3:00 PM and then sent an email with cheerful but inquisitive overtones.

Me: Hi "Y" - I'm just checking in to see if we heard any news about the Board meeting yesterday, do you know if they met?

Y: NO, a Board member was ill and they were unable to meet. I promise to call you as soon as I know anything.

Me: OK, Great. I look forward to hearing on a response from the Board as well as any status reports stating any further developments or delays.

YES, the word no was typed in Caps. For about 2 seconds I thought maybe she had hit the cap lock key and then I decided, NO SHE IS JUST FREAKIN YOUNG AND APPARENTLY NOT AWARE IN EMAIL LAND ALL CAPS MEANS YOU ARE YELLING AT ME. There is no excuse for this when you are working in a professional environment). While we are on pet peeves, I hate when people overuse the "LOL" thing. I get it, you think something is funny but it's just simply overused.

I doubt she picked up on my hints/request to keep me in the loop. I should have just said, could you call me every day at noon becuase hey, let's face it - I will be a great parent, I'm just a bit neurotic. I'm sure that would have gone over like a fart in church.

The wait continues..........

That does suck though that they don't seem to have it together over there.

Argh! Nothing yet????

Maybe she accidentally typed both letters in caps. I do that all the time when I type emails (holding down the shift key for too long).

But if it was on purpose? Boy, she needs to be schooled, hardcore! LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL!!!!! (uh, so kidding with that last bit. I hate it, too. It actually hurt me to type it!)

Hi there.
I'm in AZ, not CA. So I'm also curious about this Board thing. Is it a board of people through the foster care agency???
Whomever it is, let's hope they figure it out soon. I mean, don't they realize this is just ONE of the things you'll have to wait for once you get into foster/adopt in the first place?? Maybe they're prepping you for a higher tolerance (0:

Thanks for checking out my blog and leaving such a sweet comment. :) I'm pretty excited and hope things work out for us. I have a good feeling they will.

Sorry to hear about your recent frustrations. I think you're brave to sign up for adoption. We've talked about it many times, but I don't think I could handle the insecurity of it all. I really hope you get some good news this week.

I also hear you about the CAPS thing. It is really annoying. I actually had a conversation with a co-worker about that last week. We decided people who type in caps need their caps lock key removed. :D

Good luck this week!

I found your blog this morning. I live in South Africa and hubby and I are waiting to adopt.

I hate the waiting part of this process. Our lives have been 1 big wait hey? Countless 2ww, countless waits to ovulate and now waiting and hoping for a phone call saying our precious baby is ready!

Good luck and I will definitely be reading and hoping...
