Enraged

Due to horrific economic conditions combined with living in a less than stellar area of our fine city... someone stole our recycling from the side of our house. We had housed our recycling in our garage up until yesterday afternoon when D moved it to the side of our house (thinking it would be safe in our backyard - crazy, huh?). More than likely, they did this while we were asleep last night. CREEPY.

The really bad part which is the thing that makes me angry, sad and outraged - is that we have been saving our recycling for my cousin's daughter who will travel to China next April with her High School Drill team. Meg will spend her 16th birthday in China and we can fund a portion of trip and expenses by turning in recycling.

D is home right now, locking down our house - like a mad person.

Grrr. Isn't that just the worst feeling in the world? Knowing that somebody came up onto your property and *took* from you?! It just takes away your feeling of security, even if they don't go into your house or anything.

That sucks Kara. Any time anything is stolen, it always feels like such a violation. :(

That is just so horrible. And it really is a sign of the bad economy if someone feels they need to go through other people's TRASH to make some extra cash. Grr ...

BTW, congrats on the promotion! It's like a sign ... more to expound on later. Maybe in a future post of mine?

Hope it's not keeping you TOO horribly busy.

Grr! That just sucks. I hate living in this area where people steal anything that's not bolted down. Once I had someone steal a small stereo off our front porch. It wasn't worth anything, but we kept it out there to listen to music in the evenings. Unfortunately, some douche liberated it from us (along with a compact hand drill that happened to be out there as well). Stupid ayholes!
